Derek Williams
I LOVE teaching music! My entire life has revolved around learning, teaching and performing music. I've played guitar for over 95 bands in Nashville, including 29 major-label artists such as Thomas Rhett ("Marry Me", "Die a Happy Man"), Mike Posner ("Cooler Than Me", "I Took a Pill in Ibiza"), Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line, LeAnn Rimes and many more. I have over 29 years of playing experience, a Bachelor's Degree in classical guitar, experience playing every instrument in the orchestra, 18 years teaching experience. I have done every tour from 15 passenger vans and trailers, to NFL Stadium Tours, and everything in between. I now play lead guitar for Precious Byrd around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. I hope to see you at a show!
I have a love and passion for teaching not only guitar, but MUSIC. I'm very excited to be offering guitar lessons, bass lessons, mandolin, ganjo, music theory in Bend, Oregon and Redmond, Oregon. Whether you're a beginner wanting to learn guitar or you're wanting to learn to play guitar better that you can play now, I would love to connect with you for one-one-one music or guitar lessons or for guitar classes.
